Sitemap to CSV: extract every URL from a sitemap.xml

Paste the XML of a sitemap (or a sitemap index) below. You get the list of URLs with lastmod, changefreq and priority, and a CSV download.

Runs in your browser. This page does not fetch anything and does not upload what you paste.

How to get the sitemap XML

  1. Open https://the-site.com/robots.txt and look for Sitemap: lines. If there are none, try /sitemap.xml or /sitemap_index.xml.
  2. Open the sitemap URL in your browser, view the source, select all and copy.
  3. Paste it above and press Get URLs.

If you paste a sitemap index (<sitemapindex>), you get the list of child sitemaps with their lastmod. Open each child sitemap and paste it in turn.

What this free tool does not do

For whole sites, many domains or a schedule: Sitemap URL Extractor

Our Sitemap URL Extractor & Scraper on Apify does the fetching for you. Give it domains; it finds their sitemaps in robots.txt, reads sitemap indexes (nested up to 5 levels), gzipped (.gz) and plain-text sitemaps, and returns one de-duplicated row per URL with lastmod, changefreq, priority, the source sitemap and the domain. Export as CSV, JSON or Excel, or use the API.

Example input:

{"domains": ["www.example.com"], "includePathRegex": "^/blog/", "lastmodAfter": "2026-10-01", "maxItems": 1000}

FAQ

Why fewer URLs than the site has? A sitemap is the site's own list. Some sites leave pages out of their sitemaps, so neither this page nor the actor can see those pages.

Is my sitemap uploaded anywhere? No. The parsing runs in JavaScript on this page, and the page's security policy blocks network requests. The parser source is public.
