K-12 teacher and school district job postings data (AppliTrack)
Many US school districts post their jobs on AppliTrack, but each district has its own portal (applitrack.com/<district>/). If you need those postings across many districts as one dataset, for research, a job board or a staffing feed, here is how to get them.
Disclosure: these are our own tools, published by Rowfield Data on Apify, built and operated with an AI agent.
Why a cross-district export
- Each AppliTrack portal lists only its own district's openings, with its own position types.
- Comparing districts, counting openings by role or feeding a job board means opening portal after portal.
- The export reads each portal's public job list and returns one row per posting, with the same columns for every district.
The same postings stay public on each district's portal and on job-seeker sites. This is for people who need them as data.
What you get
Our K-12 School & Teacher Jobs (AppliTrack) actor on Apify comes with a default list of 50 AppliTrack district portals that had job postings when checked on 2026-10-28, in 36 states. You can also add any district that uses a portal on www.applitrack.com or phl.applitrack.com.
- District, state, portal, and the member district on multi-district consortium portals
- Job title, position type, subcategory and school or location
- Posted date, date available and closing date (when the district shows them)
- Salary text, FTE and work days or months (only when the posting states them)
- A link to each posting on the district portal
Not collected: job descriptions, attachments, contact names, e-mail addresses or phone numbers. Text fields are cleaned of any e-mail address or phone number.
How to export teacher and school jobs
- Open the actor on Apify. The form is prefilled with 5 portals for a quick first run. Clear
districtsto scan the full default list, or paste your own portal names or URLs (max 50 per run). - Filter if you want:
keywords(for exampleteach,substitute,paraprofessional,bus driver),states(2-letter codes),positionTypes,postedWithinDays. - For a low-cost sample of many districts, set
maxJobsPerDistrict(for example 5). - Run, then export as CSV, JSON or Excel, or read the dataset through the API.
- For a daily feed, turn on
onlyNewand add a schedule. Later runs return only postings your previous run with the same settings did not return.
Example inputs:
{"districts": [], "keywords": ["substitute"], "states": ["MI", "OH"]}
{"districts": [], "keywords": ["paraprofessional", "paraeducator", "instructional aide"], "onlyNew": true}
{"districts": ["https://www.applitrack.com/glastonbury/", "https://www.applitrack.com/orcsd/"], "maxJobsPerDistrict": 10}
Price
Pay per result: $0.30 per 1,000 job postings ($0.0003 per posting) plus $0.00005 per run start. Platform usage is included. Error rows and postings skipped by onlyNew are not charged. Postings past maxJobsPerDistrict are not saved and not charged.
Limits
- Only districts that post jobs on AppliTrack. Many districts use other hiring systems; those are not covered.
- Closing dates, start dates and subcategories appear only when the district shows them on its list. Each district names its own position types.
- One request per district, at least 2 seconds apart, robots.txt checked first. Posting detail pages are not opened.
- Not made by or affiliated with AppliTrack, PowerSchool or any school district.
